Autumn 2018

There will be many exciting topics being studied in the Autumn term. The first ones will be The Circle of Life and Growing up and Growing old with science focuses.

A  WW2 history based topic will follow- The Battle of Britain which will also include a trip to Hack Green Secret Bunker in October.

As historians we will be looking at the significance of the Battle of Britain and how it was a turning point in WW2.

As geographers we will be extending our knowledge of the European countries involved in the WW2 conflict and investigating the locations of USA, Japan and Russia.

Alongside our Global Learning we will be investigating the UNICEF rights of the child- that children have a right to protection and freedom from war (Article 38).

Alongside this topic we will be working on computing- We are crytographers.

Our final two topics will have a science theme again which will involve working on space themes and investigative sciences.

For our super scientists' topic, we will be exploring what scientists do. Our inspirational starter will allow us to witness and engage in scientific experiments with cabbage!  The children will be investigating how scientists work, what is a scientist, crime solvers and forensic techniques.
