Our topic is...

We're Evolving

This is a science based topic, where we will be learning all about Evolution and Inheritance.  Our topic will begin by watching a David Attenborough documentary and we will look at images of our family.

We will be covering the following objectives:

Recognise that living things have changed over time and that fossils provide information about living things that inhabited the Earth millions of years ago.

Recognise that living things produce offspring of the same kind, but normally offspring vary and are not identical to their parents.

Identify how animals and plants are adapted to suit their environment in different ways and that adaptation may lead to evolution.

As scientists we will:

Collect and present data

Observe

Understand that things can change over time

Know about fossils

Understand evolutionary timescales

Understand Natural Selection

We will continue reading When the Mountains Roared by Jess Butterworth.
