Our new topic is called CELEBRATIONS!
We will start our topic by dressing for a celebration!
This is a Science and Computing topic.

We will share the story The Polar Express and re-write it using capital letters at the start of each sentence, finger spaces between each word and full stops at the end of each sentence.
We acted out the journey of the Polar Express with the Engine Driver.
It is a Science based topic that starts off with a visit from Animals Take Over!!
We will be able to handle and discuss vertebrates and invertebrates in detail.

Our new topic is a Geography topic called VILLAGES!
We started our topic off with a lovely walk through High Legh.
In this Geography topic are learning will focus on:
understanding geographical similarities and differences through studying the human and physical geography of High Legh, and of a small area in a contrasting non-European country. We will be looking at a village in Zimbabwe.
use world maps, atlases and globes to identify the United Kingdom and its countries, as well as the countries, continents

In this Art topic we will be using drawing to develop and share our ideas, experiences and imagination.
We will develop a wide range of art and design techniques in using colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, colour, pattern, texture, line, shape, form and space.
We will be sharing the story of Stick Man by Julia Donaldson!
We will be writing a description of Stick Man's house using adjectives to make our sentences sound interesting.

Our first topic is TOYS!
This is a History and Computing topic.
In History we will be looking at changes within living memory – comparing old and new toys.
In Computing we will begin to understand what algorithms are; use technology purposefully to create, organise, store, manipulate and retrieve digital content, recognise common uses of information technology beyond school and how to use technology safely and respectfully, keeping personal information private. We will identify where to go for help and support if the we have concerns about the content on the internet.
Please can your child bring in their favourite toy in a labelled plastic carrier bag.
We will share our toys next Monday!

We will be concentrating on writing simple sentences using a capital letter at the start and a full stop at the end.
Today, Mr Pinkerton the driver of the Naughty Bus came to visit us in class.
