Living things and their habitats
The focus for the start of the spring term is science.
We will be focussing on animals and their different habitats and we will be visiting Chester Zoo with a Living Things Workshop on the day.
This is knowledge organiser which has all the terminology and objectives that we will be covering.
Learning objectives
To explore and compare the differences between things that are living, dead, and things that have never been alive.
To identify that most living things live in habitats and micro-habitats to which they are suited.
To describe how different habitats provide for the basic needs of different kinds of animals and plants.
To describe how animals obtain their food from plants and other animals.
To use the idea of a simple food chain.
To identify and name different sources of food.
