Autumn Term - Topic 1
Our new topic is...
Stone Age to Iron Age
For our topic on Stone Age we will be investigating:
- changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age
We will be investigating the sources of historical records and discussing primary and secondary sources.
As historians we will be exploring:
- late Neolithic hunter-gatherers and early farmers, for example, Skara Brae
- Bronze Age for example, Stonehenge
- Iron Age hill forts: farming, art and culture
- the shift from hunter gatherers to farming
We will also be having a Stone Age Workshop from Balestra School Workshops.
English
This term our writing will be based on the book 'Return' by Aaron Becker.
We will be writing a setting narrative and a travel report.
Maths
This half term we will be covering place value and addition and subtraction.
