Each week I will be putting activities on this page. There will be roughly 5 pieces of maths and English and 3 pieces of topic work. You also have your packs that were given out on the final day. Work your way through your pack as you like.

In maths our current topic is ‘decimals’. So far, we have already looked at tenths as decimals (1/10 = 0.1), tenths on a number line, tenths on a place value grid and dividing 1 and 2 digits by 10.
This week the activities are focusing on the next stage of decimals ‘Hundredths’. In addition to these activities I would like children to do 15 minutes on TTRockstars ‘soundcheck’ every day.

In English, we have been looking at narratives and the book ‘Henry’s Freedom Box’. We have shared the story and looked some features of writing including; expanded noun phrases, direct speech, fronted adverbials, etc.

In class 4,our current topic is the artist Lubaina Himid.
Activity 1- Research Lubaina Himid and write a biography for her
Activity 2- Develop sketching/drawing skills by following a online drawing tutorial
Activity 3- Recreate Lubaina Himid's Man in a Jumper using any material/media (paints/pencils/oil pastels/collage/etc)
