Remote Learning Week 6

Hope everybody is well and as the weeks go on, are managing to still keep positive. Fortunately the weather has been so kind and we can go outside which is so uplifting. I have never been away from the classroom, for this length of time, in all my long years of teaching. This week I am due to work in school with some of the Key Workers' children. I am really looking forward to that. I am missing the classroom buzz and general chit chat that we have. Even some of your lame jokes and humour would be most welcome at the moment!

Each week I will be putting activities on this page. There will be roughly 5 pieces of maths and English and 3 pieces of topic work. You also have your packs that were given out on the final day. Work your way through your pack as you like.

Maths:

For this work's work, I would like you to follow the White Rose Maths online home learning. Week 4 of WR learning is available to access. Below are the video links for each lesson.  Please scroll down the document until you find Year 5 and then follow the link for each daily lesson.

Worksheets above. Sorry, for some unknown reason, the page decided to upload them at the top of the page!!

There are still plenty of tasks on MyMaths which have been set and games which you can access too. Don't forget to access TT Rockstars too- keeping up your mental recall is important.

There are also some interactive activities on Oxford Owls. Many useful times tables or scroll down to 9-11 ages.

TOPIC

Following on from last week's work, I would like you to  work on Purple Mash to describe the stages of a tiger's life.  This may take you a couple of sessions. Follow the link below:

https://www.purplemash.com/#app/pup/tiger_lifecycle

You should not need your Purple Mash log in but if you need it, please email me.

This link on BBC is also good for video clips and ideas.

If you would like to, a good idea would be to produce a factfile leaflet on any type of animals, insect or plant. On Purple Mash there are many types of writing template if you wish to use them.

I would love to see your work. Please email me a copy!
