Variables in Games
Computing
We will be looking at variables in programming. What they are and how to program them. In order to make our variables work, we will be programming Microbit devices to do all kinds of amazing things.
National Curriculum Objectives:
Design, write and debug programs that accomplish specific
goals, including controlling or simulating physical systems; solve
problems by decomposing them into smaller parts.
Use sequence, selection, and repetition in programs; work with
variables and various forms of input and output.
Use logical reasoning to explain how some simple algorithms
work and to detect and correct errors in algorithms and programs.
Select, use and combine a variety of software (including internet
services) on a range of digital devices to design and create a
range of programs, systems and content that accomplish given
goals, including collecting, analysing, evaluating and presenting
data and information.
Our English topic will use the text On the Origin of the Species. We will be writing a discovery narrative and Non-Fiction explanations based on an animal. We will exploring some more fantastic texts in Whole Class Reading - including The House With Chicken Legs & The Boy at the Back of the Class.
Maths will consist of lots of work on fractions. Our PE sessions have moved to Tuesday and Friday - we will be starting Indoor Athletics and netball. Please see timetable at the bottom.
We complete our current read...
