Week beginning 11th May 2020
Well this week would have been SAT's week in school and what better way to celebrate with lots of tests at home!
But I have uploaded some fun SAT's for you; prize for the winner, answers posted next week.
Hope you are all well. I have spent the last few weeks looking after our new additions - we have 3 chicks that my children hatched. They are loud, but cute! I have loved seeing what everyone is up to - you seem to be enjoying the daily challenges a little of something different for you all.
White Rose work is still online, the same as last week, video here sheets below with separate answers.
There are some sheets below to have a go at - have enjoyed some people printing and completing and then uploading to the Seesaw account so I can help and also see what you have done!
The mental arithmetic summer needs printing and then folding along the line so you don't see the answers then you can open up and mark it - or a parent could ask you the questions and then they have the questions and the answers all on one sheet.
The other sheets are focus on subtraction, and division - we all need division practise. If you have forgotten how to do long division - send me a message on Seesaw and we can go though it together - I could even upload you a little video!

Below is a Pie Corbett Talk 4 Writing unit, I have donated you do not need to, it is aimed at Y6/7/8, but it is newspaper reports and a little detective, which I thought you would all like. Give it a go - love to see you efforts!
Some more questions similar to last week, same books we have looked at in class together, but the questions are different have a SPAG focus too.
Some computing for topic this week and I have included some more careers activities for you! Do you think you could do any of the jobs listed?
Also, I have found a fab resource for some computer animation- that I thought you may all find a little fun and it is for Y7; well you are all nearly there and it would be good to try something a little different for a few days!
Look at the document titled Year 7 ICT Animation project first. This is broken done into 6 lessons with suggested times on there. The other documents will help you complete the activities. When the above document says 'attached' you need to come here to find the corresponding document. I look forward to seeing some animation story boards on Seesaw.
