MATHS:

We will be continuing with the White Rose Maths scheme.  Please find the video tutorials below...

Lesson 5 Baking!  This provides an excellent opportunity to practise using measuring scales and the language associated with weight.  Why not link to our English lessons and make the spidery biscuits!!

ENGLISH

We will be following another unit of work from Talk for Writing this week.

  The story is called Sidney Spider - A Tale of Friendship.

Please use the booklet below and work through the wonderful activities.

Monday: Share the story together on p3 and p4. Then complete the activities on p5, p6 and p7.

Tuesday: Share the story again. Complete Quiz Time on p8, Exploring Words on p9 and the Sing a Song on p10.  There is an Incy Wincy clip at the bottom.

Wednesday: Read the letter on p11.  You will need your own paper to rewrite the letter, in your neatest handwriting, putting the full stops and capital letters in the right places.  Then complete the activity on p12.

Thursday: Add to the Spider Fact File on p13 then go on a mini beast hunt of your own and complete p14... HAVE FUN!

Friday: Complete your own Mini Beast Fact File for one of the mini beasts you found yesterday.

There is a baking activity at the end of the unit which could become part of your Friday maths.  Why not make some spidery biscuits and send me a picture of them!
