REMOTE LEARNING WEEK 8

Hello and a big warm welcome to remote learning week 8!

MATHS:

For Maths this week we're continuing with the

White Rose Maths Scheme.

ENGLISH:

For English this week and next week we will be using a new Talk 4 Writing Unit.  It's called Sayeeda,the pirate princess.Please complete the activities using the booklet below.

MONDAY: Read the story together on p3 and p4 and complete p5.

TUESDAY: Share the story again and complete p6.

WEDNESDAY: Share the story and complete Quiz Time on p7.  Remember to write your answers as full sentences.

THURSDAY: Explore the words on p8 together.  Share the story and see if you can spot them in the story. Sing Along activity on p9.

FRIDAY: Fill your Treasure Chest activity on p10.

For topic this week

I have planned activities across Year 1 and Year 2.

  The activities are practical and family based and celebrate World Environment Day on 5th June.  Both classes would have been doing an 'environment focus' as part of this week's learning had they been in school.

All children should be taught to care for the environment from an early age.

 Make a shoe box bird house, fruit enzyme cleaner, your own compost bin, make your own newspaper bag or make a Tetra pack bird feeder.
