LIGHT

During this topic we will learn the following National Curriculum objectives:

Recognise that light appears to travel in straight lines.

To represent and report on findings.

To take accurate measurements.

To identify and manage variables in an investigation.

Explain that we see things because light travels from light sources to our eyes or from light sources to objects and then to our eyes.

Use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain that objects are seen because they give out or reflect light into the eye.

Use the idea that light travels in straight lines to explain why shadows have the same shape as the objects that cast them.

Whilst SATS may be over, we still have lots to do in Year 6. We have lots of writing units to complete and we will continue this half term with Dreams of Freedom. We also have our topic units to cover, areas of maths to work on to make sure we are secure with them for high school. There is also our band performances, a production, a leavers assembly and transition activities from the high school.
